I lived on an ocean beach for 13 years, fishing ~360 days/year and putting in over 20,000 hours. My mentors molded me into a proficient, well-rounded and well-educated angler in that time. I learned many things the hard way, committing angling errors that will haunt me 'til my last breath. Hiring me as a guide will mitigate your need to suffer the same, and put you on the fast track to consistent surfcasting success.
-1 Angler
-The best investment a surf angler can make. This is an intensive, hands-on coaching experience for anglers of all experience levels. I succinctly detail the "Breakdance" approach I created, which is the most consistently effective method for catching quality stripers in all of surfcasting.
-Knowledge/skill gained will empower the angler to catch Striped Bass, Fluke and more consistently on their own, on virtually every sand beach from NJ to MA.
-1-2 Anglers
-The warming spring waters tend to produce reliable feeding patterns that occur annually in the same spots. Spring is the best time to catch the most fish with the least effort, once you are properly educated.
-1-2 Anglers
-Effort will be focused primarily on the bays; however, recent years have produced good numbers of big Striped Bass in the ocean surf.
-Species: Striped Bass, Weakfish, Bluefish to 15+ Pounds
Locations: Sand Beaches, Bay choke points, Bay Flats,
-1-2 Anglers
-As the water cools, different waves of fish migrate along the coast. We use a variety of lures to imitate the different baitfish. You'll learn to ID them all, and what to use to properly imitate them and catch their predators as a result.
-Species: Striped Bass, False Albacore, Fluke, Bluefish
-Locations: Sand Beaches, Inlet Jetties,
-1 Angler
-Brand new offer
-Spinner Sharks, which are primarily a southern species, have been visiting our shores in tremendous numbers since 2019. They are not federally protected, unlike our primary species: Sand Tigers, Sandbars, & Dusky Sharks.
-Spinners typically arrive in July and hunt during the day. They pattern feed, meaning we can expect predation to occur daily at the same times as long as weather remains consistent.
-Gear is provided. Peak adrenaline is guaranteed.
-Ages 5-16
-Beginners aged 5-10 will learn the ropes on the flat water (bays, piers, docks, freshwater); ages 10+ have the surf as an option.
-Learn about the ecosystem: fish, birds, bugs, plants and more. Learn the food chain. We make chum & catch our own bait to target larger fish
-Species:
--Freshwater: Largemouth Bass, Chain Pickerel, White Perch, Carp, Sunfish, and more
--Bays: Porgy, Fluke, Striped Bass, Sand sharks, Blue Crabs, Spearing, Mummichogs, Killies
--Surf: Striped Bass, Fluke, Crabs
Everyone gets stuck on the beach at some point. Digging yourself out can take hours; getting stuck can potentially total your vehicle. A tow costs over $500 and teaches you nothing. Tickets for improper operation/precaution can cost over $300. 1 hour with me will prevent all of this financial, physical and mental anguish.
I will be your passenger in your own vehicle. In one hour, I will teach you:
-The best operating procedures and the rationale behind them
-The cues and feelings that suggest "stop now and restart before you get stuck"
-How to read the sand
-Getting yourself out of sticky situations
